ABOUT THE LONGEST DAY
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Our purpose with this campaign and challenge is a dual approach. On one hand we want to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease and the benefits of living a healthy active lifestyle. On the other hand, we want to raise funds to further; Care, Support, research and creating an environment for better brain health for everyone.
What is Miles for Alzheimer’s™ ?
The Team at Love Right® has committed to Run, Bike, Hike, Walk, Swim, Skip…… Whatever it takes, to accumulate miles for Alzheimer’s Disease. Starting on Wednesday June 12, 2019 and ending on Friday June 21, 2019, Love Right® will donate $1.00 for every mile our Office Employees log. In the coming years we hope to bring a brighter presence by involving more companies in taking this healthy challenge.
Why Do we Care About Alzheimer’s Disease?
That’s easy, we have a genuine Love and interest for all people. We have a special corner of our heart dedicated to those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. It’s in our company identity to refer caregiving services to those with memory impairments. Families suffering from the impact of the disease have been trusting Love Right for over 7 years now, to find the best match for Alzheimer’s Care in the home.
We know it’s not easy. Each and everyone of us will be affected by Alzheimer’s, in some way, before too much longer. Americans are aging at an incredible rate, and at some point we will know someone, care for someone or be someone with the disease. This is why it’s more important than ever to learn and support the strategies taken by The Alzheimer’s Association. Together we can make the progress necessary to eliminate the effects on a National Level.
If you or someone you care about needs help figuring out available care-options with Alzheimer’s Disease. Ask for help from family first. If family lives too far or works too often, call us to schedule a No Obligation CAREConsult™ with a Love Right™ Care Service Representative. You’re in luck because we are connected with San Diego’s best resources for Alzheimer’s Care.
